Employee Onboarding Dashboard

Through the ExponentHR Employee Onboarding utility, you are able to administer and track the process used to transition an individual from a candidate to a hired employee/contractor.  This may include various aspects of the new employee onboarding process, including: sending an offer letter, inviting the incoming individual to fill out their own employee personnel record information, address paperwork requirements electronically, assigning hiring-related tasks to other internal/external individuals, as well as conducting scheduled post-hire survey or check-in review. These features (and more) are activated and configured in the Onboarding Setup.

Once configured, the Onboarding Dashboard offers the convenience to initiate the onboarding process for an individual as well as track the onboarding status for those who have been extended an offer of employment or who have already advanced further into the onboarding workflow.  These capabilities are described further in the help topics listed below.

 

Initiate Onboarding for an Individual  

By clicking the Onboard Employee button, you are able to initiate the onboarding process directly from the Onboarding Dashboard.  This may be done for new hires (obtaining all needed information/documents), re-employment of a former employee (ensuring all personnel record information/forms are current), for contractors (paid or unpaid), or for presently active employees (inviting them to participate in any post-hire onboarding items).

Monitoring Progress of Onboarding Process for Individuals

The Onboarding tab offers at a quick glance the present status of each individual invited to the onboarding process, displaying the new hire's hire date, current onboarding status, and the number of new hire and internal tasks awaiting completion.

Tracking Delivered Offers of Employment

The Offers tab displays the candidate name, offered position, date of offer, expiration date of offer, and the offer's current status.  The available filters on the page allows users to refine the display list by status type and/or offers sent after a selected date.  To view the details of a specific offer, simply click on the candidate's name to view the actual offer letter, status change log, and any candidate comments.

Additionally, users may click the My Tasks button to conveniently view all onboarding actions that he/she is responsible for handling.  Upon accessing the My TasksMy Tasks page, the onscreen filter offers the ability to further refine the action items to those that are overdue, completed, or unable to complete.

 

To access the Onboarding utility:

On the Menu, click HR Administration >  Employee OnboardingHR Administration >  Employee Onboarding.

Note: The Employee Onboarding functionality is enabled for your organization upon electronically signing the Employee Onboarding AgreementEmployee Onboarding Agreement, which is presented upon initial navigation to the Employee Onboarding page.
